Yeah I am beating my own drum a bit, but being stuck at home I have at least been getting some much needed Bryce time in. I have 2 more images I hope to post before weeks end.

Cheers all.

How about a tutorial on this image??

Vile ( ) posted Tue, 11 September 2007 at 9:03 PM

Sure but it would take me a while. I did several tut's but when they changed stuff around here they did not reload them!!! Really made Hulk ANGRY LOL.

Nice Vile! Nice Vile! Now put down that tank big fella! Weve got a surprise over here for you, that's right! It's a present! It's a gamma-gem, all green-glowey and bright (something downloaded from 3dlapidary and used in a very long and expensive render, with lots of reflection and refraction, and internal reflections on) Just look at it, doesn't it make you feel all warm and fuzzy, like you'd like to take a nice nap?

Seriously though, this is an excellent image. The only suggestion I would make and this is not a criticism really, but an observation, I would love to see you rerender this same file if, and when Bryce gets SSS, which I think it will. It only makes sense. DAZ has been working on upgrading the renderers of all 3 of their main graphics apps.

dvlenk6 ( ) posted Tue, 11 September 2007 at 10:45 PM

Knowing DAZ, they will use a physical SSS that takes 4 weeks to render.
THE Ring looks great Vile.

LOL.  I hope not.

Speaking of rings of power, did anyone catch the hidden MTV spoof of council of Elrond on the FOTR DVD set?

No I missed that was it good? LOTR should be spoofed don't get me wrong its fantastic fantasy and without it there would be no Orcs and WoW. But it is a bit just a bit over blown.

hmm why is my sword suddenly glowing?

Incarnadine ( ) posted Thu, 13 September 2007 at 4:58 AM

It is an easter egg hidden in one of the menu pages on the directors version DVD set. I think its on the second or third disc. Quite funny.

Incarnadine: I have all the LOTR DVD sets and this is the first time I've heard of a spoof  ?

It is on the FOTR set. In the menus, as you step down through them, the little highlighter takes a step aside to an unmarked spot at one point. Click there and you have the spoof. Will take a look tonight when i get home. I think it is on either the second or third disc's menus.
