Subject: Blender Not Recognizing Scripts in 2.45

DramaKing ( ) posted Sat, 29 September 2007 at 1:39 PM · edited Mon, 09 December 2024 at 7:09 PM

When I upgraded to v. 2.45, I copied all my scripts to the new scripts folder. Then, when I tried to find any of them (mainly export scripts), they were not listed. I tried copying them again, but to no avail. Does anyone have an idea about what is going on?

Probably this is a long shot, but is the script directory in the top section above the file menu correct?  Maybe hit the little reevaluate scripts button in there?

The third-party scripts that I have are in the folder with all the other scripts that do work. Like you said, it was a long shot.

Another longshot, but have you installed Python 2.5 ?

Ditto on that. The old problem was fixed in the latest release, too.

Want to place a url to one of the non-working scripts so that we can try it. I haven't found anything not working so far but I do have Python 2.5 installed, maybe there's a bug in the included modules in blender 2.45???

Here's the file. I just have Final Export 1.21 and 1.42 and Ter2Blend.

Added the above to my .script folder and the Final export 1.21 shows as: Indigo 0.7 Final Export 1.21, and 1.42 as: Indigo 0.8S Export 1.42. The other is probably there also but I don't know what it is supposed to display as.

I apreciate knowing that. I'll poke around on the python site and see if I need to upgrade.

On a side note, however, I fixed my old problem with exporting into any format. I didn't realize that I had to select everything before export. Haha, Blender is just funny that way.

good to see your problems solved then. If you are on windows it might be your need to update your .net or so files. read about it on the blender download site. Just a longshot well your accustomed to that now right? ;)

for some free stuff i made
and for almost daily fotos

Got the scripts working. I put them in the python 25 folder instead of the scripts one. Sometimes the hardest problems really do have the simplest solutions.
