Subject: 5D owners

I have a question for 5D owners, I was dead set on a 1dm3 but since I have time to spend researching before I buy I am taking a 2nd look at the 5D. I know its not the fastest (3fps) but I dont shoot anything that requires high speed shooting. I have read tons of reviews on the 5D and while many say its a great camera my question is after using it, if you had to buy one today would you?

Well I'm not a owner but yes I would buy one! The only other camera I would consider is the 'high end'/'professional' range and a 1D III...

I have had a 5D for some time and it is superb..  Quality wise it takes some beating, and aside from the 3 frames a sec you wont go wrong.. One point to consider is that as a full frame sensor it is a little more fussy with regard to lens quality, and will make poorer quality optics more obvious..

Thanks Danny, I now have to decide what to do get the 1dm3 and 1 or 2 lens or the 5D and extra glass not sure. As for quality glass I made the mistake of making my first canon lens a "L" lens and couldnt see myself using less.
