Subject: Creating realistic beach waves

Having recently purchased Carrara 6 pro, I'm getting used to it pretty good.  Right now I'm trying to create a beach scene, and I'm trying to figure out how to recreate the effect of water washing upto the sand and getting that foamy white look.  Does anyone have any advice on how to create this effect (from the vantage point of looking toward the water from the beach) and how to create more realistic beaches in general?

Attached Link: Terrain Tools

Howdy, You'll probably want to use TerrainTools by Digital Carvers Guild (see link above). There are some other ways you can get it done in Carrara but its much more work. This plug-in pays for itself in time saved in one use. Mark
