Hey there - I'm having lots of problems with Bryce 6.1.  I have a 2 GHz IBM running XP.  I downloaded Bryce 6.1 about 2 weeks ago from the daz3D site.

Here's some of the problems that I'm having - I'd be grateful for any help:

a) We're having saving problems.  It I open a new project, it can't save.  It says there is a generic error.  The only way I've found around this is to open an old file (yes, it let me save the first time) and save over it with the same file name.

b) When I try to animate the scene, I can't render the animation.  I can see the animation on the nano screen and I can see the animation move when I drag on the timeline on the bottom of the screen but any attempt to render gives me a generic error.

Anyone else having this?  Any solutions?  I've tried re-installing the software but nothing changes.

How much RAM do you have? I've read about RAM issues causing the "Generic Error" messages.

Sounds like something missing or is it possible that somehow your download got corrupted?
Or maybe some other program is conflicting with it?
When you reinstalled did you turn off your antivirus and other programs that were running?  Sometimes that can really mess up a new install.

I have a 1 gig PC and am only using 384 meg of ram right  now..[ my pc is oooold! ]  and I have no problems at all with Bryce 6.1   
I'm also using XP [home edition]

Have you tried this,...................BEFORE YOU SAVE, open the Task Manager, (Control + Alt + Delete), go to the Processes tab,  find Bryce.exe, right click on it,  go to Set Priority, and restet the priority for either Above Normal or High. It is important to leave the Task Manager open while doing this or the Priority will be reset to Normal. When you are done, close the Task Manager and the Priority will be reset to Normal. Try this,.......it might work,............it has worked for me on more than one occasion.

I think you may have two incidents of Bryce open - the Task Manager should tell you this. Bryce sometimes refuses to shutdown completely and you need to use the TM to do this.......
