OMG!!! One of my co-workers has this. He let me drop by after work to see it. How can you people keep this program a secret!!! Without any assistance, in 5 minutes, I had a simple animation of a ball, dropping onto a cube, rolling off onto a plank, and rolling down that off the scene. It was familiar enough from Bryce to then texture everything, render it, and have a final. Again, 5 minutes! Get used to this name, next paycheck, I have to have this!!!! LOL Sorry, just a little exited. SOOOOO much easier than my Rhino!
Talk to yall soon,
Rich
Woo hoo! I got to borrow it indefinatly. He doesn't use it, so it looks like I get to buy it from him.
As for the marbles, I am too excited for words. I have it set up at home, and in just a couple hours of playing, it's like the Bryce I always dreamed of. So far I've found the boolean shapes, the physical material editor (is it hard or "bouncy") and a ton of other things.
I may be asking for help on spline editing so I can make curves somehow. At the moment, it's simple boxes and balls, just like Bryce. I'll post a link to the video I am rendering now.
I have to apologize, I know this is all very simple stuff to most of you, but I remember when I started with Rhino... even the simple things were exciting, and new members brought it back every time. My best Rhino model is posted here if anyone cares to look... it's from a wood model plan. I created all the pieces, and built an antique car using Rhino instead of wood.
OK, Time to check the render. (And by the way, I know I sound like a ten year old, but truth is I am a grandfather of 6. I'm just having a good time tonight)
Thank you for putting up with my excited ramblings.

Greetings,
I haven't done any 3D modeling in a couple years, and have forgotten all of my Rhino, (I doubt I can make a simple box any more) and was wondering if any of you Carrara users could answer a question on it. It looks simple to use, (I have a HUGE Bryce background) but was wondering about the physics. I am wanting to make a movie from a model of a ball run. Create the tracks, drops, loops etc in 3D, and animate a marble running the track.
The question is, is this something that it can do? or would I still need to hand move the marble to make the animation? If anyone has done a video like this (it has to be the first thing most people try) could you post a link here for me to see?
I am designing a "real world" one for my grand kids play room, and have been wishing there was a computer "game" that allowed a construction set (like Rollercoaster Tycoon, but with marbles)
OK, too wordy, but I think I explained what I was looking for,
Thank you for your time,
Rich
