hello again everyone,i would just like to know-when you have rendered your image, what is the best way to save the image? jpeg, tiff, png etc etc. just like to know your opinions.

I save my pics as a .tif, as it's a lossless format, and I can load an alpha channel from it if I need it. A whole host of others swear by .png (for pretty much the same reasons as a .tif).

If you're going to do some postwork on the image, save in a lossless format (.png or .tif) You can then open the render in a 2D tool like Photoshop, PSP or the Gimp.
If you're using Photoshop, you can even save the render out as a native Photoshop .psd file.
png, tiff and psd have the advantage of saving the background as transparent - great for layering in postwork.

I don't do (much) postwork myself, but I always save out as .psd (I use Photoshop 6.0.An oldie, but sufficient for my needs). From Photoshop I save as .jpg (Photoshop has much better control over compression and quality than Poser) .

The pen is mightier than the sword. But if you literally want to have some impact, use a typewriter
