What do you think: Is it really neccessary, that the vendors deliever us each month with new Laras? To be honest: I don't want to see them any more ... This is the latest Lara-Product: http://www.renderosity.com/mod/bcs/index.php?ViewProduct=60931 If you like, you can add similar products ... then this will be a huge thread :-)

It is funny also how they look so much like the film versions, I thought that film stuff was not allowed to be sold here? (or is that just science fiction films stuff that is not allowed?  )

I'll take the free set available any old day...

Way too many people take way too many things way too seriously.

The free set is very good.

I personally like Lara related stuff. However, I would only part with hard earned cash if the quality was top notch. For me, Irina: Adventuress from Blackhearted & Rio is the only one made with first class textures that I have seen. This is the only Lara item I have bought.
My personal gripe is about most of the V4 characters on sale here, they all look the same with no originality.

Pretty3Ds Lara is also really beautiful .. but who needs another beautiful character when there are already five others that look the same ... Irina was one of the first .. and I agree, she looks outstanding. And I agree with the V4 characters: Most of them are boring ...

How does that one look different from the game one, apart from it using more polygons?

OK who is going to be the first to do a Lara identity parade? :)

Nobody's forcing anyone to buy or download anything.  Vendors wouldn't produce items if they didn't think they would sell.

@xantor - The item doesn't say any of the "magic words" anywhere.  As long as no trademarks are used it's fair game, IMO.  Of course, you can always check with the Copyright experts but that's the way I read it.

If all vendors would know, what the customers need - what a wonderful and boring world this would be :-) Of course I'm not forced to buy the whole stuff, but I think, some of the vendors could spent more time in thinking of really new products ...

The only one which looks good to me (from the promos) is the Irina one, but since I don't use Irina, and don't use (much) S3, it really hasn't attracted me. I like the accessories for the new Pretty 3D V4 one, but the clothing on their V3 one is better.

What I'm really looking toward is a set for Near Me. Might get me to break down and buy the little cutie.

This is a Lara I've done back in oh....'02 way before I believe I used V2.  Billyt released a limited freebie back in the days which to my knowledge was the first. ![](http://www.renderosity.com/mod/gallery/media/folder_17/display_163693.jpg)

The game-Lara is a grotesque. And the models hired to play the part for game-promotion are just back problems waiting to happen.

drifterlee ( ) posted Wed, 05 December 2007 at 10:28 PM

I like Angelina Jolie in that role. Tombraider was the first PC game (DOS) I really got addicted to because it was a girl kicking butt, and I'm a girl. She had big boobs so all the teenage boys would buy the game, LOL! I am discovering, as far a clothes, that you can put together a similar outfit using pieces of other outfits and changing the materials. I also got the old Pretty3D Lara outfit to fit V4 just by scaling it and fiddling.

i like seeing lara stuff in the MP. i don't need it at the moment but i'm all for action adventure women. there's far more repetitivness with other things in the MP than there is with this. love esther PS and we can all use holsters eg shadowdancer gear (from daz) with panko weapons and pose

MY ONLINE COMIC IS NOW LIVE

I aim to update it about once a month.  Oh, and it's free!
