A question I have pondered too.I never found one though.I had to rely on Poser content and use other folks models such as the products in Faveral's Medievil Market and Tavern over at Daz.All my efforts to produce one in Bryce were disasterous.
If anyone has an answer I would be interested as well.
I gather this is for the latest Challenge? Good luck.I've not even started and I don't think I'll bother because I'd just be using other folks models when it comes to food as my efforts in the DTE is woeful.
You could also try Luca Rodolfi's freebie "the Market" on this page.

Lot's of little loaves and fruits with textures included.
Well, I have been looking around, and on doing a google found a lot of bread recipes - some with decent photos, and I'm now in the process of turning the best of these into textures - of course after Xmas I'll have my own bread oven and I'll be able to make my own bread textures, plus use the surplus for toast etc Lol!
The trouble is a nice artistic photo to promote your recipe isn't necessarily a dead-on aerial shot, good for model makers.
I have got a couple, but as they are not my own photos I'd hesitate to distribute them generally. After Xmas however....
Very humerous Rayraz, the thing is, would you...:scared: would anyone else want to eat it?
electroglyph, I'm taking a look at that now, not sure if it'll work though as I wanted to texture my own models, but worth a look anyway, thanks for the link.

You may notice there's a whitish loaf with an odd black stripe, that's meant to be black bread - and although that image was on the web it's not working very well, and in any case that bread was wrapped in cellophane creating odd reflections.
Also a lot of the breads now have the same texture, I have tried varying it but with so few to go around it's not easy.

I made a square of chainmail once and tried parametric, spherical, all kinds of mapping. The best result was from object cubic. You can also try changing the scaling or orientation to make the textures look less similar.
I agree with ICM. Because I haven't seen the originals I don't know what you are trying to reproduce. As breads go they all look pretty good to me.
There are a few more chibata bread textures and toast at Mayang.
Yes I often find that object cubic is the best mapping no matter what the actual shape of the object really is. But sometimes changing the mapping can make one texture look like a different one - if it doesn't distort too much - which is what I've done with the breads.
Also as these textures are not seamless, 'object cubic' doesn't work so well, 'cos often a nasty seam shows up giving you what looks like a cut line.
Thanks for the mayang link, one of those actually looks like chiabata bread, the other two look more like uncooked crumble topping, but I'm gonna try them all, since you can't really tell what it'll look like until you try it on the actual model.

Does anyone know of any bread textures or mats?
