Ah ok good to hear Canon are on the ball I assume you had a Canon EOS-1D Mark III was unfortunate enough for yours to be in the faulty batch of serial numbers with the focus problem..
I was going to get one but the model I tested was also one of those So I will defer until later..

There is a distinct possibility that the person you spoke to is a Rendo member..
The senior camera tech for Canon (in the US) is a friend of mine, and a Rendo member...

Yeah its a mark 3, I love he camera the IQ is fantastic and I have only had minor focusing issues but non the less it fell with in the range and if for nothing else resale down the line I want to be able to show it was fixed. Not to mention that the err99 issue while not stopping me from shooting is getting really old at this point.

To let me know they are sending out my shipping label so I can get the sub mirrow issue fixed!!! Perfect timing also as I wont be doing much shooting other than christmas day and my 30D backup can handle that. It is also being shipped to a seperate center to fix the err99 issue (free shipping on that also) as the canon tech made a promise he shouldnt have a couple months back and was kind enough to place that promise in my file. I am also as excited as when I first ordered it.
