How do you make tracks in the dirt  from a tank and or car tires?

By using a terrain map. I did this image in this way, it's footprints but the method is the same. Make an image of the tracks in black on a white background and add it as a terrain map in your terrain editor!

You can also use the terrain brushes that come with Vue - sometimes easier than making a map.  I do believe there are some foorprints & animals prints included :)  I know C3d sells some brushes with animal prints very cheap.

I believe you will have to invert the brush once you get into the terrain editor.  This way the brushes will "dig" in instead of pooch out.
