Subject: texture maps for photoshop

okay i just got information on the correct term called texture maps....im wanting to learn how to apply this in say photoshop .are there any useful links or videos u can suggest to get me in the right direction to learn how this is done

Yes, follow this link and read ALL the responses. 

There are several forums you will need to visit. It will take time, the learning curve on some of this is pretty steep. I've been at it for five years and still haven't learned everything I want to.
