THE PLACE FOR ALL THINGS BRYCE - GOT A PROBLEM? YOU'VE COME TO THE RIGHT PLACE

Subject: Bryce 6 Object Presets?

Even though i've been using Bryce on and off since the second incarnation, I still don't know how to make an object preset. Can anyone point me in the right direction.
Thanks.

You bring whatever object you want into Bryce(if it's an imported model or a Bryce made model), select it, then go to the "Create" menu, select what folder you want (in B6.1 you can make a new folder by clicking on the "+" at the bottom of the dialog) the click "Add" give it a name and the click the check mark at the bottom of that dialog box and you should see it added to the menu as a new object.

LOL, I thought it was more complicated than that, i'd never given a thought , I thought that was for external objects. Thanks mate, helps alot.

A little interesting (and irritating) FYI about the object libraries:
If you add an object to a library, then later delete the object again; it is still going to take up the same amount of space in the library file.
In other words, deleting an object from a library doesn't really delete the object. The file size will continue to grow, if you are deleting and adding to it. Once it hits 2GB, 'bye 'bye...

Solution: ALWAYS make new libraries for your stuff.
Don't use your preset 'user', or any other, libraries to store new objects. They will continue to bloat up, and if you don't have backups, will become unusable eventually.
