Subject: Zygote Dragon?

Acadia ( ) posted Fri, 29 February 2008 at 4:52 PM · edited Thu, 31 October 2024 at 9:33 PM

I downloaded some dragon textures at Planit3D. The readme says they are for the "Zygote Dragon". Is that the Millennium Dragon or something else?

The Zygote Dragon is not the same as the Mil Dragon.

I must remember to remember what it was I had to remember.

No, the Zygote Dragon came first.  The Zygote dragon has a longer, sleeker nose; not quite as ferocious as the Millenium Dragon I, or II.

BTW - Zygote was Daz3D's original name.

Thanks. I'll scrap that download then.

The zygote dragon dates back to the Poser 3 days. for a while it was part of the PC free download pack, but I dunno if it still is.

A picture of the Zygote dragon can be found here. While looking for the Zygote dragon on Google I discovered that Anton has a "Storybook Dragon" model for sell at Daz (1.99 for Platinum club members.) I'm going buy it and create a new texture for it.

I gotta laugh!
Reg. Price: $ 19.95
Platinum Club Price: $13.97

I paid $120 for the Zygote Dragon 9 years ago, (and was happy to do it) and the texture was $20 extra. My how the times have changed!

I aim to update it about once a month.  Oh, and it's free!

I notice for $29 the mil dragon LE is included.  Not sure what the LE stands for though.  I really liked the Bone Dragon myself.

The millennium Dragon LE is the Mil-dragon without all the morphs

$140.00!!! Wow!

It is a nice looking dragon though.  But I have the Millennium Dragon and don't use the dragons enough to warrant spending that much money on yet another one.

It's not $140. That was the price several years ago. Now it's $19.95

I have a bunch of dragons these days. I've just spent the afternoon getting them all together in one runtime. Did a quick render of three of them in my gallery. Anyone know if any extra textures were ever made for This dragon?

EDIT: Hrmmm.... Attachment not working.

There is a texture at Planit3D for the Zygote Dragon

This isn't the Zygote Dragon and I have about 15-20 for the Zygote dragon already. This one I think was made by Anton. The OBJ file is in the directory under Runtime:Geometries:Anton'sPeople:Dragon:
