Subject: Hair help?

Heh, no, I'm not asking for a stylist, although I probably need one of those too. I'm just wondering if anyone knows of some good tutorials, walkthroughs, soul-accepting-demons that could help one lean to draw long hair.

I can do great on short hair (or at least I think) but when it gets longer than the jaw line the hair tends to resemble a cardboard piece plastered on top of my render's head moreso than hair. Now that's fine if you like cardboard, but I was going for hair! Straight hair, curly hair. Heck, I have one project that calls for Sarah Brightman'esqe hair. I tried it and the poor render wound up looking like she stuck her finger in a socket! I'm starting to think I'm a little hopeless..

I'm using Photoshop 7 and Antje's lovely hair brushes, if that helps for reference...

Alright voices. Either you all learn how to take your turns talking, or I keep ignoring you. My head echoes too much for all of you to be shouting all at once...

Pick up a copy of ImagineFX Magazine - or as many as you can get your hands on. They have professional illustrators handling the columns and Q&A section, and the extensive tutorial section.

They constantly have new Hair tuts (of course, each issue's answers will depend on the subject - Manga, Realistic, Comics, etc. - it's gotta be the most asked question they get.
Hope this helps-
-Lew ;-)
