Hi all- can somebody explain me where this comes from - the brows are detached form v4 and are somewhere in the air - I have scaled the figure, but rescaling it do 100 % does not solve the problem.

Thanx Mungo

Possibly some pose included data for the Eyebrow bodypart.  Unless you just want to pretend it's a black jester hat without the bells on it, you can just hide the Eyebrow bodypart in Parameter Dials window.

Thats what I thought - but when I zero the figure and remove all morphs it stays there

Yes, that's because neither of those actions changes bodypart visibility.  In Parameter Dials window (if you don't have it showing, do Window menu -> Parameter Dials) and select the Eyebrow bodypart from the pulldown menu at the top like shown, and on the Properties tab uncheck Visible.

Sorry - but I want to have them visible - they just should go in their right place

You see that black thing that you were initially complaining about?  That is the Eyebrow bodypart.  I bet you a cherry popsicle that if you hide it, your render will look the way you want it to ;)

V4.1 re-introduced the brow piece but it was updated and fixed in V4.2.  So if you haven't upgraded to V4.2 you will have this problem I'm afraid.  If you have upgraded and your having this problem perhaps the installation got botched or you didn't uninstall All of the !DAZ folder and older V4.1 cr2's as was needed to insure a clean installation with no glitches.  Older, original V4 is fine to keep but V4.1 was recommended she be cleaned out of the runtime that V4.2 was to be installed into.

I know it sounds complicated and yea, it's a PITA, I hate this path that DAZ has gone down for installing these characters  but it's really their call so that's the way it is.... :glare:

MungoPark ( ) posted Thu, 03 April 2008 at 1:28 AM

Good idea - but it did not help - thanx

are you shure you turned off v4's limits BEFORE you restored the eyebrows? it's the eybrows you need to restore. if that doesnt help, well ... sry

The limits were of - I solved it by restoring the figure from an earlier version which did not have this problem. I also tried to figure out what really had happened - and I think it came with a pose I tried from my library - but i dont find it anymore.

I've now run into 6 people who have had this happen in the last three days.

Bizarre.  So far the only common thread is all XP users who updated it in the last 3 days.  And thats really reaching for a possible cause lol

the one person who got a solution removed v4 and all her bits and re-installed. whee
