Poser - OFFICIAL F.A.Q (Last Updated: 2025 Jan 25 4:22 pm)
AFAIK, no. The way it saves is the default Poser method. You can save the geometry out to the appropriate place and write a PP2 to call it in, though. I'm sure LesBentley or some other Poser expert will be along to tell you how to do it.
For that matter, I wouldn't mind knowing how to do it, either.

If you save a prop that already uses external geometry, it will be saved in the same way; but there's no way within Poser to force external geometry, you have to hack it out of the PP2 afterwards. John Hoagland's Geometry Stripper will do the job.Thank you for the answers.
I just wanted to be sure if there was a option (inside Poser) but now (after reading your posts) I know (100%) there is not.
Anyway to replace that geometry with a link is not difficult at all but it takes about 1min which you have to SPEND on it :)
Thank you for quick reply.

Each time I save a prop into library Poser automatically writes all geometry data inside pp2 file. How to make Poser save only short "path link" instead. Is there a simple switch somewere (till now i've been replacing all geometry data with "path link" manually).
Thanks for any information.
