Poser - OFFICIAL F.A.Q (Last Updated: 2024 Nov 21 6:06 am)
There isn't a direct 'Render To New Window' in 6 and 7.
When you set the render dimensions (using the pulldown from the arrow
at upper right corner of the preview window) the render will start in the
window, and you'll see it "spill over" into hidden territory. After it's done,
use the same pulldown to select "Export Image".
After the render is done, you can have a New Window by clicking the
Tear-Off icon (the thing that looks like a photograph with an arrow
coming out the top). You can then save the image from this window.

Hi all! I'm having a heck of a time and thought someone here may be able to help me with render options.
I am used to Poser 5. When rendering I set it on Production mode and set it to render in a "New Window" at 300 dpi at a size of 3000x3000 pixels. When it is done rendering I "Save As" a png file so that it is on a transparant layer when I bring it into Photoshop to work on.
Here is my problem.....I cannont figure out how to do exactly this in Poser 6 or 7. Can someone give me a step by step on how to render my figure into a new window at the specs above? I have tried everything in the settings area and the Document size option and it keeps rendering in the Poser window at a small size even though I put the settings at 300dpi and the 3000x3000 pixel size.
What am I missing? Thank you for any help you can give! BJ
