I just purchased the basic version of Vue. I am a photographer and was wondering the following:

Can I purchase customed-made backgrounds that I work with a 3-D artist to create.
Can I import them into Photoshop so I can drop my work into the 3-D background.

I am just getting started and would love to hear from you!

Do you mean you want to use the Vue rendered image as a background or your photoshop work? If so, yes, of course you can.

Thanks for your response.
So I can bring a 3-d background into photoshop? Great!
So, do you have any suggestions as to how I would work with someone to create backgrounds for me.
I am thinking that I would pose that person for the shoot  high key  and then use a few custom backgrounds.

Well, if you bought Vue, you could consider doing it yourself...

Yes, I could. The thing is that I have spent 3 years developing an expertise with PS and Painter, working on photography, now I am opening a studio with clients waiting. I just don't know if I have the time to develop that kind of creative knowledge. I can do that slowly but if won't be at the same level that I need right now. Furthermore, I am not as creative as you all on this website!

Is it for a commercial venture ?

Maybe you could look through the backgrounds available in the marketplace here and if you see a style that would suit your work you might contact the vendor.  Look through their galleries here too for a better idea of the work they do - if you don't ask you'll never know ;-)

I used to paint backgrounds for local  (St Louis metro area) commercial photographers a long time ago.  If you let me know, I could probably work with you to come up with some backgrounds for your use.
