So whenever I import a modeled dress I made, it becomes invisible on the opposite side. Can that be turned off so that I wont have to render in firefly just to see how it looks like at the back?

Unfortunately not in open GL. Unless the mesh is two sides, the invisibility is due to the missing side of the mesh not being visible. That's why we have to render with Normals Forward for most one sided meshes.

Why not rotate the dress so the back is facing the front/camera or rotate the camera around the dress. No need to render.

Warning, the front of the dress will become invisable. LOL

As far as I know, the only way to see the 'backside' of polygons in Poser is to set your display style to Wireframe.  All other modes do backface culling (polygons whose normals are facing away from the camera).

C makes it easy to shoot yourself in the foot. C++ makes it harder, but when you do, you blow your whole leg off.

oh, I thought it was the back of the dress they wanted to see, but it's the backface of the poly. LOL My mistake.
