Subject: NVDIA graphics card update prob with p7

I have GeForce 8600 GT Nvidia graphics card and I updated to the latest driver today. Now when I open poser and move my mouse about poser disappers......big time. Most it's stayed open is 5mins. Now I've done a search here. Done all the fixes recommended. Used the cleaner, changed my settings, nothing works. Im on xp pro btw. Any suggestions so I dont have to uninstall again.

The good thing about updating the drver was that my open gl works in poser where as b4 I would get two different previews in one...now I get one....but sheesh it doesnt stay open long enough for me to use it.

Would resintalling a poser service update help at all? or should I just uninstall my driver and go back to my v164 driver that came with my graphics card when i got it in december?

Btw I have system restore turned off as a rule. Im wishing I hadnt now

That wouldn't have been driver 175.16 would it? I have it downloaded but never installed as in my case just about all the newest Nvidia drivers from 169.xx  have been doing the same thing to me. Move a camera and BOOM poser crashes to desk top I have the same video card as yourself. I rolled back to 163.75 and all is well again. I serious think that all the newest drivers have openGL issues because when you set poser to SreeD the problem goes away.

You could go back the driver you had working well or use the SreeD setting. Seems to me these drivers issues only affect poser I have not problems with Vue inf or my other apps.

Yup it was that driver....and I have reinstalled my v old driver which came with the card and its working fine (so far- I have hair fitted now lol.... wish Id reveresed it four hours ago ......just my old open gl fault is back where it gives me two diff previews :(

I had a problem with the newest , N vidia GeForce 9600 GT card, uninstalling old drivers turning off anti virus and reinstalling latest drivers seems to have done the trick, all seems to be fine so far. Also it might help to use Sreed in your preview render instead of Open GL

Hmmmm... I have been using the 175.16 driver since it was released recently.. and Um... PoserPro has been as stable as a rock... no OpenGL issues, no Poser crashing issues... nothing at all to complain about... oh... system is... nVidia GeForce 8800 GTX graphics card Windows Vista Ultimate 64bit INTEL Quadcore Extreme2 Processor PoserPro 64bit Firefly I'm no help eh...
