Subject: New Techniques - Gone Fishing Repost

just a quick one of an image which I previously posted on the gallery, with some new techniques from that site that Jan-Michael recommended earlier. Thanx. (Taken at Blyth, Northumberland, UK, mid January.)

Basically just played around with the levels to get a softer tone, then did the graduation of the levels in-over to centralise the focal point. Oh, and added the border, which really sets it off when it's printed out.

I love the contrast between the curves and shapes of nature and the harsh lines of man. Great shot! :)

Wow! Hey, guys, thanks for the great comments! Trust me, you would not have wanted to be there when I took this - other photos taken from the other side of the pier show the sand being blown across the beach by the '-' temp winds...it was just a bit chilly & this fisherman was obviously mad!!

He was a fisherman! Wow. I thought he was riding a bicycle. When one uses the world wide wait I have to remeber that others can live in different places. Personally it could be a man on a bycicle in January where I live. Bsteph
