Poser - OFFICIAL F.A.Q (Last Updated: 2024 Dec 23 7:38 pm)
One app that you might investigate is AutoGroup by MarkDC. Primary function is to take the raw obj and group it to the target figure. It does not do the conforming. Very useful feature is the abuility of turning off the various groups so you can check for mis-grouped facets and other errors. A lot easier then Poser's Setup Room by far. Area that doesn't work too well is the hips of pants. For the conforming I use Dimension3D's Tool Collection. Both apps are in the market place. Just an aletrnative way to achieve your objectives.
I must remember to remember what it was I had to remember.
I fixed it. I reloaded the parts into poser 4, made a figure and exported that as a obj file. Then futzed with the abdomen and then edited the cr2 file created with objcr2 in poser 7and replaced the actor abdomen text in that file with the hand made version created in poser 4 and pointed the figure's geometry to the new obj file. Then I took that cr2 file and ran it throw Wardrobe wizard taking a M3 file and converting that to another M3 file. It seemed to work out ok. I am not sure where the problem was exactly, but thank God and Greyhound it's gone

I created this Coat and then used PhilC OBJ2CR2 to make the conforming figure.
But it has some weird "wings" when bending the abdomen as if two points (one on each side)
connected to the chest are not moving with the rest of the body part. I can't seem to be able to fix it. I have played around with the joint parameters some, but that didn't seem to help, I cut out the custom geometry in the cr2 file, that didn't help. I edited the obj file to move the joint, and that didn't work.
I am at a loss here. Can someone lend me a hand?
