Hey All.

Needing a Balans Kneeling Rocker chair for a project. I have seen it somewhere in the community but not remembering if it was in a render or a photograph I have not had any luck finding it. If anyone has seen one and can steer me to it I would appreciate. Better yet, of course, if there are and brave souls here who would like to create one, you would have my undying affection!  :)

I'll work on one; I should have it ready before the weekend. I love these chairs; I've had various versions, good and bad, for at least a decade, though I've never had an actual brand-name Balans chair ;).

Hay ptrope!
thanks.
Please though if you are gonna try and make this make sure it is at least UV mapped for the wood & Cushions separately and more important, set up to the V2/V3/V4 & Male Character proportions.
I can fine tune the sizes accordingly to character but if the components don't work ergonomically it will be more difficult to make it look right!

No problem; I always model my props by posing the appropriate figure first, and forming the prop to fit them in that position. :-D

Thanks man.
look forward to seeing what you come up with.  :)

shante:

I didn't know when I posted that you had also posted on FW and had already gotten a model. It looks good; I downloaded it and played with the mapping and scale, though, and if you want to try it out still, it's here: http://www.ptrope.com/downloads/balans.zip

Thanks,
I got the p]one at FW some time ago. I posted the requests in several places and got the fastest response at FW.
Hope you don't think me ungrateful or greedy. I did try the offerings so far and found one of the several I got made available to me, to be off of and after much monkeying with the size and/or proportions I gave up. When i read you were interested in trying your hand at it I of course wanted to see what you would offer. That was why I asked some of the criteria I wanted adhered to be worked into its construction.

I will try this out and see what I can do with it.

Thanks for the gift and will let you know what happens.

No problem! I rebuilt the cushions and mapped both them and the wood so that generic textures can be used easily (the wood, especially, would've been very hard to use texture maps on without really custom-painting them); the cushions are now more aligned as with the real chairs.

Thanks. i will be trying to work an image with this hopefully this weekend.  :)
