i have some MAX files and i need them converted to 3ds or somthing  thats bryce friendly is there anything out there thats free and effective. thanks

You could dl the max demo at the max homepage and convert them with that to .obj or .3ds.. ...

 

Once in a while I look around,
I see a sound
and try to write it down
Sometimes they come out very soft
Tinkling light sound

I always thought that Max files were like 3DS files but better till I found out they were actually 3DS MAX scene files. So as a result, only 3DS MAX can convert them... well export from them at least. So, as our forum leader suggests, maybe downloading a demo version might just do the trick, although I think you only have 30 days in which to do everything you wanted to convert.

True...but jeff the 3d max mod will help out, at least he's offered to help me out if the demo runs out before you get everything you want done...as long as they are legal .max files and not from one of the many pirate sites out there...like from Free Stuff here or any of the many legal max dl sites.. ...
