Poser - OFFICIAL F.A.Q (Last Updated: 2025 Feb 24 11:54 pm)
One word..... SAVE! Save multiple version of your scene when you make major changes, so you can revert back to whatever you need.
If you do that then frustrations like these will be in the past for you.
Artwork and 3DToons items, create the perfect place for you toon and other figures!

Due to the childish TOS changes, I'm not allowed to link to my other products outside of Rendo anymore :(
Food for thought.....

Here... hate DS instead for a minute:
Conforming has issues in the latest build.
ERC has issues in all versions.
Scaling has issues in all versions
Mat poses MUST see Poser acompanying pz2 files, otherwise they don't even show up.
Least poser doesn't have these issues at ALL!
Way too many people take way too many things way too seriously.
OK, then you're allowed to rant on :-)

The way Poser automatically keyframes everything all the time is just exasperating. Any half-decent animation program should let you specify what you want to keyframe.
It helps minimize the nasty surprises if you turn off animation on all cameras and lights in a blank scene and then set that as the preferred state in prefs. Then if you really want to animate a cam or a light it's easy to turn it on.

This is what was giving me such trouble all day ... first a mistake that cost me an hour cloth simulation and then a 5 hour render lol.
checked nudity because some may consider the render in my link nudity even though shes not really showing anything but sideboob :P

So I decide that I want to do a nice render of a new character I have done today..... since she is V4 .2 using morphs from about every morph set except elite (they haven't sold me on that one yet) she cant wear normal conforming clothing ....(I still have yet to figure out WW2 lol I need to figure that one out and start using it along with PhilC's clothing creator sets lol)....... So I decide to put a dynamic tunic on her.
I run the cloth sim and its looking good so I fall asleep in my chair while the sim runs. When I wake up, she looks great but then I turn the camera and find that the back of the tunic is balled up into a frigging knot! the front view would have been ok but I had planned on a side view. the side view clearly showed the ball of garbage the tunic had become.
I figured what the hell Ill do a front render because it does look good from the front, but first I want to delete the keyframe that is causing the camera to rotate around the figure when I move the animation slider ............. somehow when I deleted the keyframe on the camera it instead DELETES THE POSE DATA!!!!!!!!!!!................. By this time I am completely wide awake and cursing a blue streak.
I finally calm down enough to find that the damned camera keyframe is still there and then I think screw it its not that bad its times like this that undo is for.......WRONG!!! I use undo several times and nothing brings the pose back so now I am back to square frigging one!
Sometimes I frigging HATE poser.
