I dont think anyone will know or remember me. I have been a member for a few years and have posted many pics in that time. this is just for those very nice peeps who have posted nice comments and been friends. im leaving, if I can get things to work may be back, if not then I am no longer an artist. Am just so freakin tired of Poser that wont work...buying products that dont look like what the promos show........and sadly it looks like I will not be able to purchase any more software. I have loved bryce and hated poser for years...but the bryce just doest do enough anymore and the poser just wont run. have tried carrara and the doc sucks and the one book for it does likewise ( no offense author). So im an artist that cant stand his current software and cant afford anything else. To those many trolls ..whatever, wont read it or reply to it.
My advice to everyone is to go big or stay home. Go BIG, dream BIG, overreach what you normally want to do, be aware and overreach......you never ever know.
been fun kids.......and thank you from my heart......

take some time, relax. come back when you feel the creative urge - you def have a talent, shame to walk away.

If Poser is sucky for you , try Daz Studio. Its free from Daz and works pretty well .

if the software isn't working, maybe ya could try life drawing or painting (oils, acrylics).
I'm not harmed in any way by software users calling themselves artists, but traditionally
(in regard to graphic arts) I think of guys like michelangelo and rembrandt, when the term
"artist" is used.

I don't think an "artist" can be narrowed down to just a few catagories.  I especially like the second def.

art·ist (ärt'ist)
noun

**1. a person who works in, or is skilled in the techniques of, any of the fine arts, esp. in painting, drawing, sculpture, etc.

  1. a person who does anything very well, with imagination and a feeling for form, effect, etc.

  2. a professional person in any of the performing arts**

I agree with markschum, try another software like Daz Studio...plus there are tons of free programs out there that have a fairly close match to the commercial programs.
