Poser - OFFICIAL F.A.Q (Last Updated: 2025 Jan 07 11:07 am)
Also, Poser outputs RIB (Renderman Interface Bytestream) files natively with no shaders attached.
If you've got an editor to assign shaders / textures and you're using Renderman Pro Server (or Pixie or Aqsis or 3delight) then (a) you can bypass Maya altogether, (b) if you're adept at Poser's Material Room you're already halfway there and (c) Renderman Pro Server renders off the command line only for speed and efficiency that Poser Pro almost has. This workflow, though, is not for the meek.
Oh yeah, the binarydivinity looks cool.

Hi you all,
I am currently working a lot with Maya and Poser and getting extremely good results by
using poser geometry in Maya and then rendering the scene using Renderman.
I would like to help those who also want to follow that path and of course any of you
who also like Maya, Poser and Renderman this the thread to share your ideas and questions.
I can help you with some advise on the best books, tutorials and video tutorials that I purchased.
For example I just joined a video tutorial on Renderman by binarydivinity.com and also a
couple tutorial discs from digitaltutors. If you are interested just let me know.
