quoted from your site: "...Each member has one character. You will have to create this character in detail. You will have to creat the character in 3d using programs like poser (the 3d program you use must be able to export the character to a Wavefront Object (*.OBJ). The reason for this is to create images using other peoples characters. Images are important to this site." If members create their characters in Poser, it would not be okay for them to export as .obj and send to you. Unless they render the images themselves or they created all meshes themselves.... ...so for example, I use posette, some non-redistributable item downloaded or bought from somewhere as clothing and/or props.....it wouldn't be legal for me to export that as .obj and send to someone. That's still transferring the geometry. Someone correct me if I'm wrong or please clarify why the need to export. Other than that, it sounds like a cool idea. Lourdes

Send in PCF format. If he doesn't have the original geometry, then he can't use it :o)

That would be true for CR2 files and PP2 files referencing OBJ files...but what about PP2 files with embedded geometries, imported meshes obtained through CD Model Collection purchased...etc. I'm assuming that most of the members here are artists rather than writers so wouldn't it be a better idea if the character creators rendered and submitted their own images? But then there's the question of rendering a scene that involves more than one character....each artist can then render their part of the scene and then superimpose their characters onto chosen background/scene...just a thought...and maybe an impractical one at that. One other thing to consider (I didn't include in quote above) is that if successful, the story, images, etc. will be submitted for publishing....that opens up another can of worms....."For non-commercial work only" clauses in some of the freestuff readme files. Sorry DeXTaH...I don't mean any harm by this. I still think it's a great idea and I hope all things will work out for your idea....just cover all your bases and make sure everything's legal. Lourdes

I'm familliar with the *.obj files. Forgot to change it on my site:) Thanks anyhow. The need to export is simple. In the story the characters are bound to meet someday. Then they will have to be placed in the same render... Therefor one of the renderers (not me cuz i suck!) should make a image of many characters. CYA

The site is so miserably written that I'd never bother with it. It REQUIRES javascript for pages to even appear. Total crap web page design, in other words.
