OPMG, you gus are nto going to believe this!

I'm half ways home from driving out to get my morning Diet Coke, and at a traffic light, all of a sudden there's this little brown thing scurrying across the base of my windshield.

Closer look, it turns out it's the cutest little baby mouse... seems like it crawled out from the engine compartment, onto the hood. I wasn't in a spot where I could stop and pry him out, so I slowly took a drive to the nearest park, about a block away.

Poor cute little thing was all terrified and shivering and it's little nose and whiskers were jittering about 100 miles per hour. He snuggled at  the base of one of the windshield washers, holding on to it, and off we went for the rest of the drive to the park.

Once we got there, he started scurrying all over the hood and roof off the car, till I finally coaxed him into the grass, where I hope he'll go back to doing what little mice do.... Like grow up to be a big sewer rat or something like that. I know it's a roden't, but I just couldn't not rescue him, it looked too cute and too scared.

LOL. Reminds me of last week. I was walking through the back yard. about an acre of lawn there, when I heard some peeping. IO turned around and it was a baby Mallard. Duck to those that don't know. I had seen it's Mother leading all the young from the field across the road to my hay field that has a water duggout at the far end.

This little duck was following me everywhere. It looked like some big bird had tried to have it for dinner. The top of it's head was pecked pretty good. I felt sorry for and scopped it into a box without touching it and walk it down close to the duggout. Left it there peeping. Don't know what happened but I saw the mother and a bunch of little ones swimming around that evening.

Oh wow!   Crazy little critters!

I think first few minutes of it just stared at is stunned and not believing what I was seeing. Then I started giggling like a nut... and feeling bad for the poor little scared critter.
At one point, even though i was driving very slow, the wind blowing in his face and little tumy made him look like a tiny little flying squirrel, braving he nose in the wind, hanging on to the windshield washer wiper. I swear, it looked like very Disney-style-epic moment for the little guy.

I swear, I wanted to capture him and take him home and snuggle and baby him LOL!

.....tiggerrrr... where ae you kitty, kitty... mommy has some pent up mothering to use up on you....  here kitty kitty....

an ex-girlfriend used to have a pet mouse called mortimer, i used to call him squeak, connies rabbit piccie just reminded me of him, he used to look like that while he was guzzlin' at his water bottle,

he used to have all these tubes and things attached to his cage, it used to be quite funny wakin' up to see what he had been up to through the night and where he had decided to sleep, kept draggin his beddin about and making a new bed somewhere else.

anyway every night, the night shift kicked in, he clocked in at the water bottle, and then went to work that wheel baby!!

-squeak, squeak,squeak-
quick tea-break, then back to the wheel with him.

he must of run a marathon every night, i think he thought we needed him to power the nintendo.

Wow, How cute!!!!
I really wish I could have taken that little guy from my car for a pet!!!

Your story just reminded me there was a blurb on the news the other day how scientists think they discovered an exercise gene in mice. Mice whom have it would run miles and miles a day on their wheels, some incredible number for a mouse, like 10 or even 20 miles. Then there are those whom don't would drag their bedding and food into the wheel and lounge around, and only run around for 2-3 miles a day.
They speculate that people may have the same gene (or in my case, lack thereof).

Now I have to go and see if I can google that story ...

Since most of us are on other sites and we do know what's going on and don't really need to check them out because we are there.

Now banning, I take it you have been banned or some buddy has been banned but it had to be fairly bad because I'm still here and I'm not a nice guy. Ask anyone here.

You have a problem that's fine can't please everyone. But for tech, there are some very talented members and you can normally get a faster and more indepth answer from these forums.

You only see what you want to see and nobody can change that. I doubt you will get banned for your posts. You may get labelled as a troll. Hey, we all have a purpose in life.

It was a buddy and not a bad TOS infringement to do with a thumbnail in the Humor section just a difference of opinion with a mod who had an Ego as big as a house, But the total was building. But then you always get one bad apple in a barrel, the funny thing was my buddy spent good money at the site and was deleted and blocked out of hand, must be a power thing with some folks.
Their loss as he, spent, contributed info and tips and produced good images, another sites gain.

And yes "T" we all have a purpose and an opinion ;-)

Hi there,

Please don't talk about situations in which you weren't involved.
Nobody on this site gets banned on a first time TOS offense. Except for Warez, which is zero tolerance.

I'd have to say whomever you're referring to did not have a run-of-the-mill arguement.   I've spoken my mind plenty of times, am very opinionated and have argued with 'the powers that be' and have yet, in (what) 7 or 8 years (?) have not even received a warning.   It all depends on how you go about your disagreements.

I've only ever been banned from one site and it wasn't Renderosity! The charges were totally bogus too! Spending money at a site is no protection from Banning either as I had spent way more there than I ever should have! Eventually my ban got lifted but I haven't bought anything else there since and rarely if ever post there anymore.

Frankly, the claims of having proof here are spurious at best since it's second hand information from "A Friend". There are always two sides to a story and obviously the friend has one side and the mod who banned him has another. Somewhere in the middle is the truth of the matter. As for TOS Bannings, that's why there IS a TOS isn't there? You break the rules you go away.

The thing is, I've been guilty enough of that here in the past and never got hit with the Jelly Pelter/Banzor Bat. If your friend did he must have made it personal with that particular mod. Any who, this thread doesn't need an old gripe being revisited just because it started out with a new one.

ThreeDeeArt ( ) posted Fri, 08 August 2008 at 3:58 PM

mmmmm I am detecting a trend here which is proving my point.

I will not continue this as no one as yet has considered that my friend may have been misjudged and treated heavy handedly which indicates a flaw and a cliquey closing of ranks.

The flaw being that the People at the top are like gods and always right and Just,
and we the poor minions are just people that make the site money.

And so back to taking Pics and make 3D images  (maybe a kitten or two)  ;-)

before anyone gets banned around here, they do have the option to just leave, that is one of your first privaledges when you join this site, if you don't like the members the mods or the tos, any member is free to leave, with all the other great sites out there, it should be no problem tracking down the products available here right? and it'll be no probs getting the same amount of hits on yer gallery either right? and it'll be no problem getting hold of all the info about the individual softwares and even how to make them work with other software, right again (i'm on a roll)

you do get a fair bit from being here, with a free hosted gallery, and access to priceless info and helpful members,

and in return, all they ask of you is that you observe two rules;

1.follow the TOS
2.follow all the rules.

not much to ask really.

it just doesn't make sense to me to see someone having a go at the site, members or mods, if i had a problem with the site tos or mods, i would just leave, i wouldn't keep coming back critisising this and that, i've got better things to do ( like writing crappy mousey stories ) with me day.

anyway in other news, i have nearly finished me flat-pack project, so i now have enough room on me new workstation area for mice, cats and even minature horses, two more cupboards to go and then it's job done, whoo and hoo!!

( decoratin' tip numero uno, don't bail out of the glossing job, thinking that your new workstation is going there, so you'll never see that skirting board again anyway, because your desk part may have two gaps on it that will allow your un-painted skirting-boards to wave back at you, going "cooey, look at me i'm all naked, not like the rest of the skirting around here, look you can see me wherever you sit in the room, heelllooo!!" )

Cool!  Hanging cupboards is a lot of work.  What kind of doors did you go with?  Solid or windowed?

You're right about the skirting boards.  The unfinished part in time can even start to split and warp.

vince3 ( ) posted Sat, 09 August 2008 at 8:02 AM

i got windowed, it was the desk that was a b*gger, had about 12 cam studs and dowels to line up while holding the ten ton desk top on me head LOL, i'm gonna have to move it all to paint the skirting, but a least i've seen that it looks good, it is a very light pine colour and i was pleasantly surprised that isn' t hasn't actually totally dominated the room, it has fitted in quite subtley.
