Subject: forcelimits in cr2. Has it's behaviour changed?

Touchwood ( ) posted Sun, 17 August 2008 at 1:05 AM · edited Tue, 01 October 2024 at 2:23 AM

Using P7 with SR3. Has the option to force poser to use limits by setting the above parameter to 4 in the cr2 been changed with the latest service release?

Previously, when setting it to 4 it didn't matter whether the Force Limits option was checked or not, movement was always restricted. Now, you appear to have to have the Force Limits option checked to restrict the range of motion.

Is it Poser - or my installation?

Never Mind, my bad down to Typos.............

I've always used "4" to force limits the same way.  I don't have P7, but they did make a change in P6.  The parameter is now "1."  It will still respect "4," but will change it to "1" on saving back to the library.  "1" works the same as "4" in earlier versions.

Perhaps they made a further change in P7.  May need to use "1" now.

Touchwood,

Using 4 still works, but the correct digit is now 1. I have used it in Poser 7 and PoserPro, and it works in both.

I agree the correct digit should be 1.  I used 4 as that is what Easypose changes it to and decided to change them all in one go by using the Find/Replace in Wordpad. Didn't type the forceLimits parameter correctly and didn't notice until after I posted.

Must stop burning the candle at both ends.       At least occasionaly.....😄

All poser versions to date will respect either 1 or 4 in the forceLimits line. It is sometimes said that these values have different effects, but that is not correct.
