I just recent had to reformatted my computer and moved my poser to my external for backup reasons.

I just moved it back to my main hard drive after the clean format, Cause I was having the same issues I will explain later on when i used it off my external.

I load it up and when i toggle through the camera views eventually poser freezes I have full access to the camera switches or other options but none of them work.

I have tried to
defrag
check for spyware
check for viruses
turn off all programs running
I also noticed I had two runtimes in my poser folder I fixed that as well
also tried to reinstall

any idea what is causing my problems I never had a issue like this before it was working fine before I formatted. if i open another window it burns it to poser's layout as well, I was thinking out of memory error but I get no such message

the reinstall gave me another problem, now when i click my shortcut key the program flashes on then off doesn't even load before i am kicked back to the desktop

Sorry, but I haven't encountered such behavior up to now. Maybe a faulty 3d driver? Have you tried to switch to SreeD mode?

It might help if you tell us what operating system you are using, if its 32 bit or 64 bit.  And what release of Poser 6 you are on (what service packs, or hotfixes have been installed).  Other things that are useful include the video card, motherboard chipshet (for example the nforce4 drivers have known problems with SATA drives).

As bantha is describing you should check to make sure you have the latest and greated video driver for your video card from the nvidia or ati site (depening on your video card)

I have nvidia and such problems apear quite often.
Always helps remove ALL video codec. Later install them separately checking which one cause problem. (DivX 5.2 was most suspicious 😉 )

BTW - why you bump thread. I never seen ignored thread on this forum unless question were too difficult for members)
