Subject: Make planar?

Is there a way in Blender to make 2 or more faces, that are on angles to each other, onto a single planar axis? Meaning that they are perfectly flat.

I am not sure about general planes but if the plane you want is parallel to the X, Y or Z plane  then you can type S, X, 0 or S, Y, 0 or S, Z, 0 to scale the points in the planes to "0" with respect to each other in the X or Y or Z directions. They become aligned on those three axes.

Another thing might be to look into to the new snapping options. I am about to download a 2.47 build to take a look at these.

 Alternatively, do a search in the blenderartists forum for a script called geometry tool. Can do this plus much more, I use it all the time and is worth its weight in gold.There's no URL or anything in the readme to allow you to get in touch with the author but many have recommended it in the forums.

ooh, that's a good one to know about.  I've wanted to do that myself and ended up rotating, scaling to 0 on x, y, or z, and rotating back.  This sounds easier ;)

if you do a s x x or s y y or s z z it scales to local axes

excellent tip ysvry. Most answers are so simple that people assume that they must go through a ton of menus or some outside script to do it. Simply typing the axis letter twice converts it to local axis and is invaluable for modeling.

Another tip for people that are afraid of simple quick key presses is the 3d Transform maniplator (or finger for short?). This will translate rotate or scale in any of 4 spaces (Global, Local, Normal, and View)
