"What 3D Program Should I buy?" Not one person here can really tell you what's best for you, as everyone has their own taste in workflow. Try the demo or learning edition of the program you're interested in, this is the only way to find out which programs you like.
thanks for the input everyone. its aprecated. not sure where i'll be headed exactly but I'd like to find my own little genre to fall into again, making a specific chain of products. I have a older copy of vue around here somewhere, played with it a little but never really got into it. Been mostly using Cinema 4D and 3D Studio Max 8.0 this past year, Doing alot of super low poly modeling (500-1.5k polys) along with some low poly ones as well.
Its time for a change though, need something new to help spark up my creative side again, its been abit dry lately and honestly been driving me nuts as well lol ;). Anyhow thanks for the input :)

Many of the older Renderosity users probably remember me, some of the newer ones might know me as well. I've been thinking about coming back to this vue of the 3d world and start creating content packages again.I've downloaded a few merchant resources and bought some of the newer poser characters just to fiddle with them (like v4 and a4) and see whats all changed in the time i've been gone from this part of the 3d world. I like some of the changes that have been done to these but they still seem to be lacking somewhat in the real motion i'd been hoping to see daz get going, but they are still great figures.
Anyhow.... Being I was thinking about coming back, I desided to dive into the forums and take a look at whats been going on, and I see alot of different changes, more applications covered by the content packages and am curious about a few things.
One, probably the most important one laugh would people be happy to see me come back?
two, what applications are people primarly using these days for renderings? It looks like poser and daz studio are still pretty popular here but are any other rendering applications taking a foothold?
I'll probably start of making some simple things, giving away some new freebies, and getting my old account all refreshed before signing up to become a merchant again but I am curious to what people really want these days for there modeling appications, as i've been out of the scene doing gaming models and 3d chat models.
Anyhow, any input would be apreciated, good or bad. Thanks for taking the time to read this.
