A new set of eighteenth-century domestic buildings is on the market.

Colonial American Building Props and IBL Light set.

Scale models of eighteenth-century building exteriors from the city of Williamsburg, Virginia.   The lighting simulates the morning of April 19, 1775.

For Poser 6 and Poser 7.

Six original meshes and 29 unique, historically accurate texture, bump, and reflection maps bring what President Roosevelt called "the most historic street in America" to life in your artwork.  Meshes, uvs, textures, and poser files optimized for efficient rendering and animation.  The light probe images match the specular color and reflection map in the image shaders for added realism.  The planks, boards, muntins, and ironwork are modeled.

The Pitt House, Blair Dairy, Blair Smokehouse, Blair Privy, plus the Tucker Dairy and Maupin Necessary are authentic and suitable for any scene from 1776 to the 1860's to the present.   In the days before the invention of refrigeration the Dairy was important for keeping milk and butter cool.  The "privy", or "necessary" was of course everywhere before indoor plumbing existed.  The props may be used for any scenes requiring an eighteenth-century city or domestic scene.  You can fill the city with colonial buildings and recreate the American Revolution or place it on the frontier from Florida to Canada.   These buildings were present at the time of the founding of the United States, the city also saw two Civil War battles.  George Washington, Thomas Jefferson and Patrick Henry knew these buildings.

Extras:

Each of the buildings has an extra meter of base (as you can see in the renders) so you can use them in varied terrain; for example the house only really has four steps above ground. They all load at the proper level on the ground plane.  To adjsut simply move them up or down on the Y axis.

The textures use a combination of tiled and masked image maps.  By modifying these, or adding your own layers you can easily change the appearance of the ground.  I made many of the texture tiles from photos I took of the original buildings.  If you know your way around Poser's shader system (or are just brave enough to try) you can experiment with different combinations to create a great variety of different appearaces and fill a city with these buildings.  You can use the included MAT presets to restore the original appearance too.  Have fun!
