Sf, with these on her home page we should get some traffic. :)
These all look great.
I've already added the first one on her page (the one Leo sent me) and it looks good.

But the site set-up is going slow due to me having a problem understanding things.
My brain feels like mush and the simplest thing seems soooo hard...sigh.

Let me introduce you to my multiple personalities. :)

You are not alone BE, Leo spent the whole Good Friday in front of his computer, cursing and mumbling like always. Strange enough this cursing-and-programming thing is what he calls "fun".

I was able to let the shoulder of that dress slip a bit more with just 20 more frames for the simulation. While doing the promos I was amazed how much variety we have already, I am not even able to use all the morphs and add-ons we have so far in just three images.

And now I'll start the large render with the dress and get some sleep! I am not far away from staying 24 hours awake - and, Fabi reminded me on it, there is a long Easter weekend waiting for me, no time to be tired 😉

I'm not always right, but my mistakes are more interesting!

And I am not strange, I am Limited Edition!

Hmm, they must have been for Antonia 114, I don't have her now, maybe they weren't even your textures but I swear there were some textures done for her that had that option.

Can anyone else shed any light on this?

And here's the last one. Too risky? Hopefully not! Somehow I like how this came out, with the asian morph,  the Glynis-body and a hat Toni looks like a posh japanese performance artist  That's why I added the black swirl in the background.

That's a nice morph, very good looking. I like the different kind of nose, it looks very realistic.

Here's an EXTREMELY handy morph for those creating head morphs (and don't want to change the eyelashes). Lashes Gone. It pushes the lashes back into the middle of the head. It's in obj format. I'm not sure if anyone's done this, but in case they haven't, here it is ;o).

Turn it on to do your eye morphs and then turn it off when you're done :o)

The morph is on my website on the Morphs page - link in my signature :o).

** odf**,

OK, I know the new hands have been up for a while, and I'm a slack bastard for not looking at them sooner. Personally I prefer the old hands, the old fingers have a very slightly knobbly look that seems more realistic to me.

I think there are some places where the fingers could be improved. When the fingers are together there seems to be too much space between them, particularly the first bones of the index and mid finger. Over all I would like to see less white space visible between the fingers when they are touching. Perhaps it is a little late in the proceedings to be saying this, but I doubt there are many hand/finger morphs, or other hand/finger content yet, so I don't think a change here is likely to put anyone's nose out of joint (except mine, because I did some hand poses).

Also, where the first joint of the little finger meets the hand does not look quite right to me.

Just my two cents worth. Feel free to ignore the above if you disagree.

Hers don't go up into that area and thus don't look the same. I'm working on a number of lipsticks  and I've avoided going that far up on the UV map because at certain angles it just looks "off".

Awww hell! I see what you mean!
Well... give me a little time and I'll fix that:P

Thanks for the heads up, Rogerbee!

As long as you avoid those top 2 polygons on the lip UV map, you'll be fine. :)

My feedback based on the posted pics:

The index finger is at an angle..it should be straightened, and then most likely, the middle finger will probably need to be moved closer to it.

The thumb 3rd section looks too short to my eye.. and it's nail also looks very short to me.

The best hands I've seen are Girl 1's hands.. I always use them as a reference when I'm working on hands on other figures.
Maybe look at them for ideas on improvements?

If you've never rigged hands before, the easiest way to rig them is to start with the finger mesh  spread out, rig that, and then zero pose memorize them together.

Something I talked to someone else about at one point, was actually having 2 hand sections, with the fingers and thumbs coming off those two. That would at allow a more realistic hand pose option, however it defy's poser usual hand use, and poses.

Way too many people take way too many things way too seriously.

Late to the party as usual.

I dropped Antonia into Modo last night and came up with a head morph. Will show a render a bit later when another animation is finished rendering.

I must say she is easy to work with. Modo hates V4 but works extremely well with Antonia.

Will keep this thread BM.

@Rogerbee1...I found the textures you referred to, shaven and unshaven. I need to fix the pz2 files for two of the head textures that go with it, they don't load. Then get it ready for the site (when the site is ready for it...lol) with some promo shots.

NOTE(mostly to myself): Any textures made for the other maps will need to have a statement in the readme to load the "oldUV" Antonia character set.

@LesBently...thank you for that great pose file.
I loaded it and then my GramTia face morph, made a new morph obj and got the pz2 for that set working good. :)
Gonna post an image here of the new adjusted face morph.

Now I'm going to just sit and play around with my older sets to see what needs fixing for the free site when we got it online.

I had to go out shopping and I am soooo tired.

Have a good day tomorrow and enjoy the  Easter doings, folks.

Many, many thanks to everyone who had a critical look at the hands! It's always extremely useful to get some fresh opinions that force me to re-examine what I've done. Even if I don't agree with the conclusions in every case, there's usually something worth considering in every honest critique.

It's funny you should bring up that image. I was not aware of this particular difference between male and female hands, but I was going to mention how I often use my own body as a first reference, and how (in this respect, at the very least) I am fortunate enough to have relatively feminine hands for an old dude. As a matter of fact, it turns out that my ring and index fingers are about the same length. If anything, my index finger may be a bit longer.

Quote - The index finger is at an angle..it should be straightened, and then most likely, the middle finger will probably need to be moved closer to it.

I don't think that's correct, unless I'm a deformed freak. If I put my fingers together like on the picture lesbentley posted, my index finger is actually at an angle. It doesn't look that way at first sight because the area between the index finger and the bone is quite fleshy, but the other three fingers are the straight ones, and the index finger bends towards them. I seem to remember actually seeing that slight bend on some women's hands, as women tend to have less fleshy palms. But I'll try to hunt down some references to be sure.

Quote - The thumb 3rd section looks too short to my eye.. and it's nail also looks very short to me.

I think that may be due to foreshortening. If you find time, have a look at the actual mesh. I would post an image with the thumb in the same plane as the other fingers, but I'm about to update the OS on my one and only private computer, so I might be m.i.a. for some time.

Excellent point!

Regarding your comment on the old vs. new shape: I don't think a woman's hand should be as knobby as Antonia's original one. I'm an oldish dude whose joints are beginning to act up, and even my finger's aren't as knobby. But I agree that it's important to accentuate the knuckles somehow without having them stick out too much. I tried to take that into account by widening the tops of the knuckle areas, but for people who like their knuckles to be more pronounced, it would be easy to add a morph. I also agree that there needs to be a little bit of crookedness in fingers to make them look real.

Like I said before, time to hunt down some references...

Our mothercat was only 11 months old when she got her first kittens, after the first one was born we had to wait the whole night before the other two came, who surprisingly appeared to be an identical twin.
I went to bed after the first one because I had to work the other day, but my wife and my daughters stayed up all night. So indeed, it can take a long time. They were all born on the first of april, 11 years ago now.

Sorry for the OT, but that happens when cats come in.

BTW, Good work with the Antonia wiki-site! When I have time I try to make something for Antonia. I'm working on a skull-cap for dynamic hair, but I haven't had the time to finish it..

Best regards,

Both of my cats have the same mother (different litters) and each time she had only two kittens. Their mother was a very, very small cat too, so maybe that may have something to do with it. I know age definitely does...the first litter she had she was not even quite 8 months old  yet ;o).
