Anyone here using the program? The promos look very impressive. I'd be interested in hearing the words of experience from Poser users.

I did notice this thread offering a couple of alternatives to CrazyBump:

Thanks, GKDantas. So are you saying that the quality of the maps, flexibility and ease of use is comparable to CrazyBump? Or just much better bang for the buck?

Thanks!

I did a pack for Carrara and the results with ShaderM was better to me then with CrazyBump. Look the image, CrazyBump create deep shadows in the Normal Map and Displacement that create some pixalization in the final render, the ShaderM image are more solid. Well for me it looks very more clear for what I do...

Thanks for those thoughts. The depth you mention.. that isn't resolved by lowering the strength of the map in Carrara? (I don't use Carrara, so I don't know what settings are there; in truth, I'm just beginning to find my way around PoserPro, which I've had for perhaps two months.)

Yes help but Crazy maps get little square in the edges in the displacement object... so I prefer to use ShaderM... you can get the free version and try for yourself...
