Subject: November Photography Forum Challenge - "The Odd One Out"

ElusiveAngel ( ) posted Sat, 08 November 2008 at 5:46 AM

file_417435.jpg

I got another one, and I know we may not really post out of the archives, but I promise my last submission will be one I will go out searching for.  I am still having a brain storm here.

This one I took quite some time ago.  A few months if I am not mistaken.  We just watered the garden and these three droplets caught my eye and I just couldn't pass up the opportunity to photograph it.  The one in the middle is smaller than the other, so I guess it will work for this challenge.

I had lots of fun.  I took the kids and told them they have to help me find the odd one out.  So my daughter took her teddy bears and organized them to sit down all around a monkey.  It was a good idea.  Then we went outside and photographed some leaves with one being the odd one out.  And the last attempt we cam inside and decided to take this one. :)  She helped me arranging them and I think she even had more fun than me. lol

How bizzare, I was contemplating this very shot myself, but did the beercans instead, great one Colene :)

Great geese, Artadict!

And I love the buttons, Auntie, you've piqued my interest in the low light photography, I am going to have to see what I can do with that  : )

That's cool that you've got your work mates scouting photo ops for you Ronnie. Where I work they'd just look at me funny and scratch their heads in confusion...

And that CD shot is cool, ElusiveAngel.

I'm gonna have to look harder to find some oddies myself.

: )

They say a picture is worth a thousand words...

So where do they go when a photograph leaves you speechless?

**you guys are GREAT .. what WONDERFUL shots!

Ronnie, You made me laugh when you said you heard "Odd one out" and your head shot up ... hopefully nobody was over your shoulder; they'd have gotten a bloody nose.  LOL  that's great.  "Odd one out' was said at the dinner table tonight; the kids were talking about a video game though; so it was nothing I could upload... but my head shot up too :-)  I piped up and said "Odd one out, that's our challenge this month on renderosity! ** :thumbupboth: "  course, they looked at me like:
**
The cd's are GREAT!  Beautiful, in fact ... ** 😄
**
The buttons & batterys are great .. as well as water drops, Angel! ** 😄**

LOL, Shazz, your family must think their mom went nuts :)
Actually Jerry was lurking near my desk, but the knuckle ball that was my head was wide of the plate, just a ball I'm afraid :)

Bentchick, I love the colour in this shot, golden/green light is beautiful, and I have had one or two probs uploading images in the forums, I think it's the size limit?

Thank you, PD, The colors that day were great! The "On Golden Pond" look!! LOL :tongue1:

I don't think the size was the issue with me yesterday as the pic is the same today 720x445 195kb.
I kept getting an message that said something to the effect of   "the page you are trying to reach is busy or down, try again later"  :glare:

Oh, so today it's raining and snowing up on the mountains, so I guess fall is over and so are those beautiful colors. :(

lol Bmac, that is so true.  I probably have 6 socks with no matching mate.  It drives me crazy.  I once saw an advertisement that showed this sock coming to life.  It then somehow gets on a big interlink truck and drives I don't know where.  I am sure my socks are across the big pond by now!  lol

Great shot!

Hello all. This is my first post here. I hope this qualifies. I've been watching this forum for a while now, but  finally came up with what I hope is an appropriate shot. I took this from a small boat on the Pennsauken Creek in NJ.

  • sigh *  I'm so weird.  I never lose socks.  What's up with THAT?

I bet it's because I live alone.  I'm just SURE socks disappear because of the other people in your house.  I used to lose socks all the time, but ever since I've been living alone (lo, these MANY years,) my socks always come out just right.

:)

I took this one a couple of weeks ago, but it fits the theme. Really like the previous submissions, especially the socks. My theory, the sock monster that lives under the bed.

Great shots so far. I really like the socks! I have a theory on this, sock monsters under the bed...just a theory. I took this shot a couple of weeks ago and wanted to use it for the "contadictions" thread but it was to late.  As a proud member of the Procrastinators Club I'm showing it here now. It seems to fit this theme.

Thanks for looking,
 JoeE

ElusiveAngel ( ) posted Wed, 12 November 2008 at 1:59 AM

No, no your theory is wrong.  There are crocodiles under your bed, not monsters!  I too agree, James planet is better and they have more odd ones out around there than I have here.  Unfair! :)  Just kidding though.  Excellent shot James!
