Subject: Jantex 3D Pantsuit for V3,Plastic Skin Textures for V3 and props or textures for

ViperKilzz ( ) posted Mon, 17 November 2008 at 9:04 PM · edited Sun, 28 July 2024 at 7:42 PM

Greetings Everyone,
I am looking for any help on 3 subjects:
1- i recently purchased Jantex 3 Pantsuit for V3 and am having a problem learning how to use the product. I was hoping that someone who has purchased the product and already learned how to use it would give me a basic run down on how it works. The product has great potential.
2- I would like to make my V3 character look like a mannequin and am trying to figure out if a plastic skin texture exist or can be created. If it can be created hopefully I can be directed to a tutorial on how to create a "plastic" skin texture.
3 - I would like to cut off some of limbs of a figure, say an arm. I know how to make it invisible, which is no problem, but I would like to put sort of a "cap" on it so it doesn't look exactly like what it is, a hidden limb.

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Please spay and neuter your pets. Strongly consider shelter adoption before spending $500 to $1000. If you MUST part with that kind of money for a pet, go to your local shelter, donate the money to them and pickup a highly adoptable pet. The shelters could sure use the donation.

It's been a while since I used the Jatex pantsuit, but I seem to remember that you loaded a basic clothing item and then applied various poses to customise it. It was rather confusing, which is probably why it's been a while since I used it. :) There almost certainly was a decent readme with it, if I remember rightly.

Most people complain about the plastic look of Poser renders, not actively seek it out. :) I'd start off by experimenting with the speculars. Further information might be dependent on what version of Poser you're running.

To get the mannequin with missing limbs effect, you would need to either re-model the figure, or make a prop which would cap off the open end.

I seem to remember seeing a mannequin add-on for one of the Victorias, but I can't remember where it was. It might be worth your while scouting around the stores - I'm fairly sure it was a paid-for item.

English Bob = I found a wealth of info on your site. Thank you very much. Will return to your site for the tutorials regularly. I've been afraid to use anything dynamic to to lack of knowledge of using the cloth room. It ends here. Thank you for being part of my artistic journey.!!!!!! Will soon be posting work with some of your work. I have P5 and V3, no V4.

You're welcome! Dynamic cloth is one of the best things to have happened to Poser, in my humble opinion. I'll look out for your postings.
