Do you want the quickie render for checking your work or for final results?

Open GL is the closest you will get. One setting lower than preview. Like anything else, good renders take time, the best take days. I use an old machine in a closet for those and then I can go on to other things while they render away in the closet :)

If your Open GL is not so good, you may need a better graphics card. Vue has not dealt that well with Open GL compared to other software but I don't know about 7. I'm thinking about downloading it tonight. The Open GL performance may be better???

Real time is coming in the future with RPU's (raytracing processing units) from what I've read. Some engineering outfits have used them for a couple of years. It adds a new component to computers so I don't expect we will see them for a while. Only we 3D nuts and rabid gamers would need them.
