Subject: New Decal Mapping tutorial and a plea for help...

chippwalters ( ) posted Thu, 20 November 2008 at 3:03 PM · edited Sun, 25 August 2024 at 11:13 AM

Hi all,

There's a new Decal Mapping tute at:

http://blog.chipp.com/2008/11/decal-materials.html

On another related issue:

I've lost some of the tutorials which I had uploaded to my Screencast.com account and don't seem to be able to find the backups.

The tutorials are the ones pictured on this page (not counting the very first one):

http://www.altuit.com/webs/altuit2/VueTraining/Vodcasts.htm

They include:
SeaVue tutorial
Adding Decal Maps in Vue: Beginner
Adding Decal Maps in Vue: Advanced
Setup Vue for Modeling
Modeling using Python Scripts
Modeling Roads on Terrains

If any of you downloaded and saved any of these tutorials, could you please IM me so I can hopefully figure out a way to get them back online. The most important tutorial is the SeaVue one as it is the largest and hardest to replace.

Thanks a bunch!

best,
Chipp

Thanks guys! These three tutes represent the main ones I regret losing. Once I get them back, I'll post them again with new links on my webpages.

Very much appreciated!

Way t go folks...great community spirit.. ...

Once in a while I look around,
I see a sound
and try to write it down
Sometimes they come out very soft
Tinkling light sound
The Sun comes up again
