Subject: Advertising Models that are for sale elsewhere.
No. No longer allowed.
At one time you could have done it in the Product Showcase Forum and the Product Showcase Gallery, but that is no longer allowed. They are strictly for Renderosity vendors only now.

Click the link in my signature and sign up. It's a Yahoo Group that you can join and send announcements to your hearts content. Lots of good things being announced, commercial and freebies.
I used to post my freebie finds here, but I don't anymore. So if anyone wants to keep up with those, they'll have to join Poser Shoppers, or wait until I can find another "home" that will allow me to post freebie finds from all sites that I find them on. I've been too busy to look around for another place to post them.

Maybe you can look into 110mb.com.
There you can host your own site for free and no adds.
Maybe you can put up something yourself.
Just a thought.

I've been thinking of starting up my own Poser forum. Another thread got me thinking about it. Just a forum where people can go and chat and learn and post their links to their products and freebies...no store ties to the stie. i don't know about bandwidth or forums or forum coding. but once i'm back to work and have some extra money to play with later this month I plan on giving it some serious thought, maybe getting some people who know about creating forums involved in the set up.
Anyway, it's just something that I'm considering. It's not definite.

You can always put some information in your signature.
At least for now. I'll bet that the next rule to come into play will be .... "No signatures advertising outside stores"

This policy would make sense if the store at Rosity were fully standalone. It's not. It depends on places like DAZ to move its own product, and IMHO it should recognize that and act accordingly when it comes to vendor announcements. No, I dont want to see them in the Poser forum -- I dont like seeing them in the Commons at DAZ either, but at least there I can see quickly which ones are commercial, and I can happily ignore them. A simple tag here would suffice for folks who want to post something in the Merchants forum about a product available offsite.
Really, when you cut through it all, is it worth the discussion pretending that other MPs dont exist? I'm not a big fan of the commercialization of Poser (Studio was a lost cause, coming when and where it did), but it's a fact of life, one that keeps this site moving. So let's all be realistic about this, huh?
