Subject: Cannot open my scene-file again!

mariajudyta ( ) posted Tue, 16 December 2008 at 11:44 AM · edited Thu, 08 August 2024 at 6:33 PM

I've been working on a scene for a couple of days and now, after adding a self-made object with lots of textures, vue crashed down.

Every time I want to open the scene, it crahes down. What can I do now? I hope I can re-open my work!

I tried to place the personal textures somewhere else, so vue cannot open them and hoped that this will work, but it hasn't.

Can anyone help me?

Yes, sometimes scene files get corrupted. This could happen by Vue crashing down or power outage, for example. That's why it's always wise to save incrementally (save not over the same file over and over again, but save in sequentially numbered files).

Unfortunetaly, I don't know of any method to recover a corrupt scene file... Hopefully someone else reading this will.
