Subject: Contacting Live People at E-On????

melikia ( ) posted Tue, 16 December 2008 at 5:05 PM · edited Sat, 15 February 2025 at 12:36 PM

(yes, as opposed to those who havent had enough coffee yet LOL)

Ok, I have a bit of a problem.  An organization here in Alaska was kind enough to purchase 7Infinite for me, by giving me the funds and having me place order, etc.  They are requesting a receipt.

As you know, e-on doesnt send out any receipts that SHOW that an item has been paid for.  (take a look at your invoices - they're invoices, NOT receipts).  The ONLY place I could find the word "PAID" was in my account at e-on.

So, I am trying to contact e-on, preferably by email as the other method is long distance (dont go there with the toll-free, alaska... or at least my corner of it... is excluded from their list for some strange reason)... and i can't find a good email address for anyone other than the webmaster and a few other unrelated spots.  (the techs dont need this email... i just need a sales rep)

does ANYONE know how to get ahold of someone there??????  I've been going around in circles for 45 minutes now.  help!?

I prefer to contact the.. dead... ones....

Way too many people take way too many things way too seriously.

Could be a lot more fun... but i really need this receipt, and as we all know.. the dead don't take receipts with them.

without this silly little bit of paperwork, the agency will want their $$ back, and well... umm, cannot afford that!

e-on don't tend to do e-mail because of spam issues.  Your best bet is to go through the Contact link on their home page and then follow on to contact a sales rep and post them a message.  I've found them pretty responsive to that in the past.  Of course with the launch today they may be a bit busier than usual...

figures... i WOULD pick a bad day to need to talk to them.

good thing I have been given an extension on the receipt thing, cus I was smart & did a screenshot of my e-on account where it DOES say "Paid" and sent that to them. =D

I'll try that way again, impish... but thats what started me going around in circles on the website, and now i'm dizzy.  i've yet to find a spot where i CAN post a message.  (leave it to me to get lost - even with a road map)... but im stubborn... i'll find a spot... or make one! =D  (j/k on making one)

edit:
OH HEY!  i found the button!!!!!!!!!!  "contact a sales rep"

You can get a printable invoice from your account.

On e-on's site, click My account.  Scroll way down the page till you see a table with your orders.  They are links, so click on your Vue 7 purchase.  Scroll down again on this new page and you will see a button for Printable Invoice.  Click that and print.

Look close at the invoice, Peggy... nowhere does it show that its actually been PAID.  and that's what the agency needs... is something like that invoice, but showing that it has been paid and my balance due is now $0... as I said - the invoices are just that - invoices, not receipts.

Hmmmm, the only way to get this invoice is to pay, so not sure.  Guess you will have to contact e-on.

yep... i put in a ticket, hoping they can get to it before the end of the year ;)

like i said, i sent screenshots to them... push comes to shove, i'll log onto my account at their offices and physically show them/print everything out on their machines.  its that whole paperwork trail, because they're funded by govn't.  screenshots aren't QUITE good enough LOL.

stupid how one little word not showing up on an invoice can cause such issues.

I'd have thought that if you used a credit card you should be able to submit a copy of the statement (suitably redacted) to prove that you've paid.

melikia ( ) posted Tue, 16 December 2008 at 8:04 PM

i used my debit/bank card... my bank account IS my statement - and i submitted a screenshot of that, too.  they still want a receipt, even though bank account clearly says "e-on" in the pay to spot.

I remember when you could email and talk with Steve Bell at length. He'd always respond quickly and have the answers you needed.

Those were the days.

Or phone them directly? :)

Smallspace,
