Subject: Creating a strand/dynamic hair horse tail in Poser 7-Where do I start?

Hi,
I would like to create a strand/dynamic hair horse tail in Poser 7. Where would I start with this project? I have tried using Little Dragons bushy tail as well as the V4 creature creator add ons which has a devils tail included. I need a basic easy pose tail to which I can add a sort of skull cap (or the equivalent for a tail object).
The skin on the tail needs to match the skin on figure it's attached to (I'm thinking of using this for a
centaur/satyr type character).
Does anyone have any ideas for where I should begin?

I'm not famliliar with those products or what you are planning on doing with this tail once you have it, but it seems like the easiest this would be just to take the horses into the hair room and stick the strands onto the rump
