Subject: New Bugs in Vue 7.1 and BETA - Metaclouds and Metablob

Dear all,

after browsing the forum I did not find any hint on the problem I have got with the new VUE 7 updates (either 7.1 and BETA), therefore I describe it here.

The following effect appears ONLY using the updates and the so called "bugfixes" (7.1 and BETA).

I created a metablob object of several cones to get a dust smoke cloud.
Rendering to screen worked.

But after save, close of VUE (or the scene) and reload the scene the smoke completely lost its transparent and fuzzy properties (Metacloud "Soft and Dense") and rendered just as a full solid area either in render to screen and -needless to say- in batch rendering mode.

The funny thing is, if you duplicate the metablob the duplicated element has now the correct material properties. After save and reload the same effect appears again.

This happens ONLY with the new updates. The updates were installed separately. I did not install 7.1 and installed then BETA over it.

I have attached two pictures above showing the effect:

Left: As it should be
Right: After installation of the updates

Maybe someone has an idea. Thanks in advance.

No idea how to fix your problem but hopefully this will bump it up for you a bit.

Seems E-On have once again managed to break something that wasn't broken before their patch.
