I'm having a problem opening a v4.2 custom character, is their a way to fix this or another program to get the mat file from.

Generally the Vicky’s tend to open up a bit more when they know they can trust you. Buying them a completely new wardrobe sometimes does the trick.

If you’ve painted a pretty picture for her to wear but she can’t find it, maybe ShaderSpider would be a better solution? Writing a MAT file usually isn’t a problem (if that’s what you’re doing). The cheapest hack is just to use a similar MAT file and insert your texture address at the proper locations, but obviously this would only be for testing purposes if you’re having trouble.

Sorry to be silly, but the request is a bit vague. I’m just assuming we’re talking texture.
