Subject: Poser 7 can't locate or create library folder

snakepit ( ) posted Fri, 09 January 2009 at 6:16 PM · edited Fri, 29 November 2024 at 11:55 PM

After I had my desktop computer serviced, I started getting the message above when I open Poser 7. All the files are still there and I've tried reinstalling Poser without success. I was able to install Poser on my laptop.

Has anyone else had this happen?

I've gotten that message with external runtimes. Usually one of the runtimes isn't squaring up exactly with what's in the LibraryPrefs.xml. You could either try deleting it or editing it to fix any mistakes. It's located in C:Documents and Settingsuser nameApplication DataPoser 7.

Available on Amazon for the Kindle E-Reader Monster of the North and The Shimmering Mage

delete  libraryprefs.xml  in C:Documents and SettingsxxxxxxxApplication DataPoser 7  and then start Poser again. You will need to add your external runtimes again if you have any.

the xxxx will be Owner or whatever userid you yhave created. This is windows xp.

ack, crosspost :)
