Subject: Lighting Challenge at GCTalk

A new lighting challenge has just started at CGTalk.  This time it's a sci-fi scene.  There will other formats available to download in a few days.

It kind of reminds me of the corridors in the movie Wall-E.

 It looks fun, I have been doing the lighting challenges since the very first one, lots of fun to be had with them.

Unfortunately no really useable file formats for Vue yet, could only get the scene working in Maya.

The 3DS, lwo and obj files work perfect in Vue. I prefer the 3DS, it is usually smaller.

 Yeah, those formats do work perfectly in Vue, unfortunately none are available yet, using those formats for this challenge.

I just opened it with Carrara 6 Pro and saved it and **.**car file and a **.**3DS file. If you have another app that supports that funtion it is no problem, but they should have the other formats up soon enough!!!

OK, after opening and taking a look around the FBX file, it appears there is some problem with it. I went to the challenge page to read the posts and several people are having problems with the FBX so it is not just me, but JB said as some as he gets a license he will create more formats, probably in a day or two.

The Different File Formats are out now, 3ds, lwo, obj and others if you want to try the Challenge.
