Just a fun little app I found out about today....

Simple and easy to use but I wasn't getting any "ivory" to happen until I read the read me... So please read the read me first....

You probably mean "ivy", not "ivory"... :-)

yeah - that's a very nice little app.  The geometry it creates can be a bit heavy but it looks really good

Oops typo...Sorry.....

I fixed it , sorta, I can take the ooops out if you like.. just my weird sense o humour.. ...

 

Once in a while I look around,
I see a sound
and try to write it down
Sometimes they come out very soft
Tinkling light sound

I just blogged about this great little program on my own blog!

I also downloaded a tutorial to help me but so far my ivy is not coming out looking like the ones in the tutorial.  I'm trying to make mine look more detailed like the ones I'm seeing on both the tutorial and the website where the program is located.

I'm working on it - I know it has something to do with the transparency settings and so far I have been using Bryce but am next going to try it in Vue.

I think it is most efficient on ruins and other old architecture.

It's been around for a while - is really good - but uses a lot of resources.
In the meantime, wabe has an ecosystem with ivy for vue.

Both of these options have their worth.......     You decide.

Maybe the Ecosystem painter (with new "all views" facility) and a good ivy plant is a worthy alternative?

My only complaint is that I can't 'seed' the ivy exactly where I want it to start. Have to move this way and that. A grid would help a lot.

hm when I use Ivy generator, there is a grid on  he floor, and you can click to start the ivy where ever you want it's initial start point to be :)
